Renault 25 V6 injection (09/2000 - 08/2004)
The Renault 25 V6i is a legend for himself. With his 153 hp and pressedly 3 liters cubic capacity the six-cylinder is very torqueily and moreover also thriftily v-type engine in the R25. My mean consumption is about 9.5 liters/100 km. I must honestly say that the vehicle is put out of order by me in the winter months. It comes onto speed 200 with his draft strength on the freeway in short time.

Inside the Renault 25 leaves no wishes unfulfilled. The equipment almost contains everything from electrically adjustable leather upholsteries up to the eloquent onboard computer. Also ABS was included by Renault in the 80's.
The engine which dates from a co-production of Peugeot, Renault and Volvo from the seventies stands out primarily due to its longevity besides its road performances. The engine owed this one to its timing chain primarily at modern vehicles more in the trend again, too, this lies.
More than 230,000 km already had our R25 on the speedo at the sales time!
Repair report in everyday use
After the R25 was freed from the rust in winter 2000/2001, we had registered the vehicle in April 2001 and have driven about 30,000 km with that until sales time. This short report shows the unscheduled repairs at this time.
- One of the two small radiator tubes burst at the pan head in October 2001. By luck this defect occurred only shortly before drive end. Therefore the engine did not take damage. This is by the way the most frequent cause of death of this V6i engine.
- A humidity admission in the plug of the Lambdasonde provided performance problems in August 2002.
- The return pipe tube of the power steering broke a year later.
- In October 2003 became the cooling water caster tube to the radiator because of a formation of bubbles exchanged as a precaution.
- Before the sale in 2004 the Battery was still faulty.
For a vehicle BJ 1988 with 230,000 km these defects are always acceptable!
the farewell ...
It was ready on August 2nd, 2004. Our R25 has got a new owner. Its new native country is Vienna. As a memory at 25s we leave the contributions in our page.
We wish a lot of fun with ours favorite vehicle all over.
